Looking 4 plastic surgeon

Hi everybody! I am looking for an excellent plastic surgeon. Somebody who has a lot of experience with post wls people would be great. Does anyone know of a surgeon who does modified arm lifts? I would prefer to not have the scar go all the way down my arm and have read of procedures where they do an incision in the armpit and only partially down the arm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lynda ME/FL

Hi Linda, Maybe Schneider in Fort Myers. I was referred in 2001 before I gained these ugly pounds to him for a breast reduction but I am of course waiting now that I am planning on surgery...will get a lift and reduction together...Is there that much skin hanging, I should be loosing close to what you did, I had some hope the elasticity would bounce back.

Thanks for your response Ginny. I was beginning to give up hope that I would hear any suggestions. Hmm--interesting question about is there that much skin hanging. Last night at dinner my daughter informed me that my face looks younger since I lost weight-but my body looks older. I am not sure I agree with her about the whole body--but my arms are really ugly. Of course part of me would like the whole works--body lift, thigh lift, breast lift, but..I can live with the rest of it as everything else can be camouflaged by clothes. I guess it is part of being 45 and carrying around that extra weight for almost 20 years. I have been a slow loser so it can't be blamed on losing quickly--I think there is not much elasticity in my skin. Where are you in the process of your surgery? I notice your bmi is not very high, which surgery are you contemplating? Have you considered LAP-Band? I have been very impressed with the results I am seeing from LAP-Band people recently.
