over the hump and don't know what to do
I am just about to go crazy and don't know what to do. I am only 21lbs. form my weigt limit for Dr. Jessee to do my surg. and can't get her office to answer my e-mails. I was just wondering if I should have my PCP to go a head and order my endoscopy or should I wait and see DR. jessee and submit my insurance paper work? My BMI was 70? when I first saw her in March and she put me on the liquid protein and I have lost 58lbs. and need to lose 21 more to get my BMI to 60 for my surgery. I am trying really hard and these last few pounds are taking forever and I am so tired of not knowing what to do. Thank you all so much for letting me vent.

Karen,
Great job on your weightloss!
I know how frustrating it must be working hard to lose weight before surgery is a possibility. Before you have your PCP order any tests, I suggest you call Dr. Jesse's office and ask to speak to a nurse. Usually, the nurse will have voicemail and you can leave a message, requesting they call you back. Then hopefully, the nurse can direct you to what steps you should take next. Hopefully, when they see the dedication and commitment you've made, they will go ahead and get you the referrals you need for your tests. Good luck and keep us posted.
Amy

Karen keep your chin up, you did wonderful loosing that weight and 21 might seem long off but hang in there. I live on protien drinks because I have such problems eating( nothing to do with weight) always did have problems with my tummy and I have not lost but 2 lbs in over a year of drinking them. Ask the dr. for something that might spark your metabolism.
