Oh my goodness!!! First let me congratulate you on making it to the other side. Next. You are not even 1 week post op. It is very very difficult to get all of your liquids and vitamins in. Just do the best that you can. It will get easier the further out you are. Now for being tired. You just underwent major surgery. You will be tired for awhile. Take advantage of all the rest you can get and hang in there. Good luck

Thank you Linda for the encouraging support. Are you taking liquid vitamins or are you crushing them? I am suppose to be taking calcuim and pre-natal vitamins daily, but the taste is horrible!!

Hi Lynn, I'm 6 days out from surgery and I'm not even allowed to take the vitamins until 2 weeks out. As far as liquids, I was told that I was doing good getting 10-12 ounces of protien, meaning 8 oz. skim milk, 1/2 cup of egg beaters, and 1 packet of Carnation mix (no sugar added-light blue box). I'm still not even able to drink all of that in a day, but that's ok. Each day, I'll be able to get in a little more. I also sip the tiniest sips of water all day. I think I'm doing good with that. I know that it will get better for us both. Laura ps. I went to the mall for a walk alone today. I'm not sure that was such a great idea. I was on the other side of the mall when I started feeling really dizzy and tired. I made it to the car, though, and am none the worse for wear.

Hi Larua, Sounds like you are doing great. Hope you take company while walking next time, you sound like a brave soul to take on the hard floors if the mall but take it easy, want to you enjoy the skinny clothes when its time to buy them.

Hey Laura, I had lap rny on 7/6 and was walking the mall today. Given I live in Coral Springs, we might have met. I didn't go too far though. What hospital/doctor did you have? Karen

Congratulations Lynn, you passed the hardest part. (ha, easy for me to say, haven't had my surgery yet) Take one day at a time and be sure to let us know how you are doing.

I'm pre-op so what do I know, but from all I've read, it sounds real normal and not a concern so long as it's only temporary. You'll get there in volume eventually. I see you were at LRMC! That's just down the road from here! Hope you had a good stay!
