Help! I had RnY on 6/25 - no problems other than my thigh is numb from all the pain shots and the incision is extremely sensitive. I've got a drain in my abdomen and retention sutures that just won't stop burning - I'm a clean freak, so I know they are clean and dry - any suggestions? Also, anyone else keep the sutures in for almost 4weeks?

Evelyn, by retention suture, are you talking about real wide deep sutures with a retention bar across the top? If so, after two weeks, I called my surgeons office and told them, they would take it out or I would. As my stomach shrunk, it started flattening out and pulling, and the sutures were actually ripping through my skin. My surgeons nurse took them out after two weeks. Good luck.
