Discussing WLS with your work/boss/team
Hey Laura,
I just changed jobs in March of this year and when I came there I told my supervisor that I would be having surgery probably in November and I would need to be off. She sounded like she understood. But when it was just me and her, I told her that I was having the WLS she looked at me really stupid. Mind you, she is a BIG girl herself.
She has some serious weight and from what I have noticed she has some self esteem issues too. But once again, I told her that I have enough time in and I have been with the state of florida for 5 years and would be needing the time off. I have not told my best friend about the surgery because she would try to talk me out of it. I know that she is only concerned but she still has this saying that I cannot stand, " some people are supposed to be fat", what the hell is that about???
Oh well, just do what you think is best for you and I'll be praying for your speedy recovery.
Lots of ((((((HUGS))))),
Cathy
