1st step towards the future

Hello, i just made my first call to Dr. Jawads office in Ocala, FL. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with his office before and what it this packet im waiting for after they recieve my referral? I have the medicaid HMO staywell and am very excited i found a doctor to take it! Im just very confused on how this all works.... thanks for any advice!

I'm not sure how the Medicaid portion works.  Dr Jawad did my surgery 2 years ago.  I started out with the seminar and then a pre op appointment.  You sit there for hours and they go through the prodedures available and the risks.  Then all the pre op appointments (blood work, EKG for some, gall bladder ultrasound,).  I was a self pay (United Health Care had an exclusion).  For me it went pretty fast.  Good Luck!
