Tonya, I kow what the code is but as I work for an insurance co I can't tell you, it is fraud, but I can tell you that is is a 5 digit number, not 4, I would call the office and get it from them. Just a question, why are you doing the letter and not the Dr office? They will most likely not take any requests from the patient. Your Dr should be doing all of that. Hi Tonya, I looked it up on the internet and this is the web site that gave me the info.... http://www.surgicalweightlosscenter.com/insurance.html The code for the open and lap Roux en Y is 43846, and the code for the BPDDS is 43847. Good luck to you! There is also a few good sites on the net with ICD-9 codes too.

Hey, the code for a Laparascopic RNY is 43842! Good Luck. If it's not going to be open and it is going to be a laparascopic, that is the code! I got it from my doctor's office, and blue cross blue shield of FL a couple of days ago. Gabriella
