need info on dr.

hi, if anyone has info on dr. steinbaum....it would greatly be appreciated, no number listed here and when i called the number in my insurance book the lady said they don't do the wls. ???? does he still do it? hmmm i'm having to look for a new dr since mine is having insurance problems i guess lol, i've also looked into dr rehnke, they are sending me info. thanks and every1 keep up the good work :0) tammy

Dr Steinbaum in Orange City?? He stopped doing the surgery a long time ago. I called back in March '02 and was told he didn't do it any more. I had Dr Jawad in Ocala and he is GREAT!! Might want to check to see if he's in network for you. And a bonus- he's going to be doing the surgery in Celebration pretty soon. I live in Deltona and didn't really want to travel that far, but Dr Jawad is worth every mile! Linda Malley

Hey Tammy....I also tried to use Dr. Steinbaum but was told that he no longer does the procedure because the insurance companies do not pay enough...I had my surgery with Dr Jawad in Ocala on August 19 and so far am down 98 lbs...he is worth every mile of travel to see him...he is a superb surgeon and has a wonderful staff....good luck on your journey..I live in Deltona....Debbie
