I am having a very hard time getting my protien in. I am about 5 wks post op and I am having a hard time drinking the protien shakes as well as finding one that I kind of like. If anyone has any suggestions that could help, I would appreciate it.

I have found a web site to order already tried protein drinks from people that have been on this program longer than you and I. The person who has the web site is Susan Marie. If you go to the regular Message Boards she answers post all the time. I am still pre-op but I have placed an order from her site. She also has other helpful information there. She is 2 years out so she knows what she is talking about and now weighs 135 from 300. It is www.Bariatriceating.com If you click on this address and add it to your favorites so you can view it at your leisure I think you will enjoy it.

I drank Isopure Zero Carb in glass bottles. Couldn't stand the shakes...they gagged me. I like the Alpine punch best..tastes like Hawiian Punch if it is real cold. 40 gm of protein in a 20 oz. bottle. Remember we only absorb about 30 gm of protein at once so don't do more than half a bottle at a time. Keep rest refrigerated. I assume you had an RNY...I had a DS and am 5.5 months out. Good luck. (I can now drink 10 oz over about 1/2 hour.) Laura
