Has anyone had her period on the surgery date? I have orthotricyclin just in case. Susan, if you're out there is this a problem?

If you don't have it while having surgery you will get it shortly after. It is a side effect and it happens to EVERYONE (women that is!). Don't worry, the doctors and nurses are use to it. I wouldn't take anything for it that your doctor has not cleared. Even if you have your period the week before you'll get it again. OK, now sit back and relax.

Hi Julie, I am 1 week post op and I started two days before surgery! YUCK! I just stopped TODAY! The anesthesia and the morphene slow down your bodily functions and it may prolong your period. Don't worry. You will be well cared for and so drugged up that you won't care! Good Luck! I'll be praying for you! Diane

Well, needless to say, my "Aunt" came to visit me this whole week, which is one week after my surgery, so, it seems to be a trend, one of those crazy things mother nature plays on us women. lol
