Thanks everyone

Thanks to all who took the time to reply to me. I have not been given a surgery date as of yet and I'm frustrated to think I may have to tell the hospital administrator about this patient rep who told me to buzz off. He is in total control of the schedule, so I can't get around him by seeing the surgeon personally. If I do this, I'm afraid they could possibly drop me as a patient. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.
