Obesitiy Surgeons in Jacksonville

Does anyone know of any Doctors here in Jacksonville that do Obesity By-Pass surgeries. My good friend was all set to have her surgery by Doctor Sarantos next week in Gainesville and she got a call today 6/24, from his office to let her know that he was cancelling it...Bummer to say the least. She is needless to say really upset. Can anyone give me advise or another doctor's name that I can pass on to her. David

Dr. David Sooriash did mine - very good! Dr. Overcash in G-ville is very good There are 2 others listed on this site that are in Jax, can't remember the names.

David, I just had my surgery last week, I would not trust my life (medically speaking) to anyone. Dr. Overcash is the best. I did much research brfore I found him. Good Luck Jeff Cea

I am from Jacksonville and at the time I was researching this surgery, the only dr that I had heard was doing it here was Dr. Yasrebi. I know alot of his patients think he's wonderful (as MOST people feel about their drs), but I went to his support meeting at Memorial HOspital and didn't like him -- then, he didn't take my insurance anyway. I have several friends from Jacksonville who have gone to Brunswick to Dr. Henderson and really liked him. I went to Dr. Hocking in Gainesville and LOVE him!!! Linda
