Humana Insurance Coverage.............

Hi! I'm trying to get Humana approval for the Lap Band. Have any of you had Humana cover that? Please let me know....my doctor's office does not think that Humana covers the Band...I need some of you to confirm that. I will be so very grateful!!!!! Rena

I have Humana and wish I could help you get your answer, but I had a RNY. They approved mine in 2 days. I called them and talked to a rep and they basically told me if they would cover the RNY or not. Have you contacted a rep at Humana and talked to the?? I found that they worked better with me when I was in direct contact with someone. In fact they called me and told me that I had been approved before they even sent the approval to my surgeon.
