I'm so glad to find you all

Well, what a surprise to see you all here. My name is DOnna and I had the LapBand done on 2/21/03 and today I weighed myself.... down 40 pounds! Unbelievable. Dear Donna, I am glad to have read from someone who had the lap-band surgery done. What made you decide to have lap-band instead of gastric bypass? Have you had difficulty with nausea and vomiting? Your weight loss looks like it has been steady but obviously not as much as those on the gastric bypass surgery. Did you pay for it out of pocket? please let me know any information you have about the lap-band. I believe I would prefer it to the gastric bypass but have not been able to talk with many people who have had it! I live in Tampa, Florida. Thanks for your time. Tricia

Donna - That is GREAT - keep up the good work! I had considered the lapband and heard so many negative viewpoints on the procedure that I was reconsidering my selection. Now that I read your message - I am very excited about the lapband procedure again. Thanks!
