No floridians have posted yet - WOW! Well, guess I get to be the first. I met a WLS friend here locally this weekend and we had a great time. TUrns out we have a lot in common other than we used to be fat! LOL. ALso went to a Jacksonville Suns game and had a wonderful time because among other things, I fit with room to spare in the SEAT!
I can't wait for the day that I fit in those seats at the new stadium, my family and I went to the inaugural game and let me just tell you, I'm worried about putting those season passes to use because my sides hurt so bad after sitting in those seats all night, that I'm not in any hurry to go back. 68 days and a wake up until I'm a big loser too!!! Take Care!
What a wonderful idea to have a special message board for each state. My doctor is in Gainesville and it seems to be taking forever to get everything together that he needs. I am not the most patient person.
The new seats at the stadium are not user friendly if your overweight. I love to go to the games and will enjoy it even more when I can fit in the seats better. To everyone starting your journey good luck, be persistant and never give up. Congratulations to all of you that have started your new journeys post surgery.
WOW - I just found this STATE SITE...I think it is really cool. I am about 5 days away from my 1 year anniversary. 1 YEAR it is hard to believe. It is even harder to believe that I have lost 140 pounds in the past year. I feel AMAZING. I never dreamed I would have come so far in a year.
My poor husband says he is now going BROKE. I told him, "Look, I have never owned more than 2 pair of pants and 5 shirts at anyone time over that past 19 years. Everything I buy now is on the clearance rack, on sale or from the outlet mall....I am saving you money lol".
I live in Jacksonville and am part of 2 different support groups. Both on line groups that meet once a month. Just like this site, it is so beneficial to be able to meet and talk to people who know EXACTLY what you are going through. It is very therapeutic. If you live in Jacksonville or Orange Park and are looking for a support group, email me and I will get you in touch.
I just found the state site! I am happy to find it. I live in Panama City but my dh family is in JAXS. I am going on 3 wks tomm. I am having a rough time kinda. I am feeling alone. I hope to get to see the losing more and make things better. I cramp on water and all other fluid. So it is difficult. Anything I drink makes my tummy feel like it is a knot, i have tried all temps! Please advise! I plan to come to the state boards reg.
Thanks!
