Docs in Orlando area?

 
we are possibly moving from PA to the Orlando/ Winter park area and Im looking for a good surgeon to follow me there. Any ideas. Also any OB's as well.

I only two of two docs in the Orlando area that do WLS.  Those are Dr. Harold in Orlando and Dr. Kim at Celebration.  I am sure there are others but those are two that come to mind.

I am in a similar situation.  I'm having the roux-en-y on 9/1 and planning on going to Florida for the winter in mid October.   I am also looking for a bariatric surgeon to see in case I need followup care.  I want to find a Dr. affiliated with a Center of Excellence.  

Can you please let me know if you have any luck?

I saw a dietician last year who had been involved with a Bariatric Center in Florida for many years.   I think I'll also call her and see if she knows someone.

Dr Kim at Florida Hospital Celebration - is a Center of Excellence.  It is a little ways from Winter Park (it's down closer to Disney) - but I do know he sees folks who didn't have WLS with him (which I understand can be an issue with some surgeons).

He's a nice guy - he also attends as many of the regular support groups (2nd Wednesday of every month) as he can - they're right after the info session.  It's a great way to ask questions directly of him without having to have a formal consult.
