Dear Cecilia,
I did a double-take on your B&W portrait; we could've been sisters! When I was your age I had long brunette hair and your face!!! And I'm Italian-American on my mother's side. Bet you are, too!

I read your profile story and urge you to go to
my blog and read some of the articles I've had published in magazines on the subject of self-sabotage.
There's great stuff you can be doing to "change your head" so that whatever weight loss protocol you use will be LONGTERM successful.

It's a distressing fact that, once health insurance companies started paying for RNY's & lapbands, the rate of relapse has been going up, as have been the # of surgeons performing REVISIONS on folks who sabotaged their first surgery.
I suppose I could be grateful that the # of coaching clients working with me who've gained back what they lost thru surgery is going up, too.

But, if I had my druthers, I'd work with folks BEFORE surgery or in their first year post-op so they didn't have such an upsetting crash landing.

Stay in touch, OK?
Best ALWAYS!
Lauralyn

Lauralyn,

How interesting! I've never met anyone who looked like me... other than my mother of course.

I attended a women's group that focused on self talk and the like. I found out that I had a lot of bad "tapes" that were just replaying over and over again.

I'm much better about that! I appreciate your offer for support :)

Unfortunately anytime insurance companies get involved they end up making the limitations etc and it eventually erodes away at the procedures they're "accepting" *shakes her head*

Good for you for helping others looking to find their happier thinner and heathier self!

Cecilia
