Palms of Pasadena anyone???
Hey I'm a veteran Dr.Rehnke at the Palms of Pasadena Hospital, patient *****ceived a RNY Gastric Bypass three years ago almost. And now I'm about to place a Realize Band on top of it. I just completed my Care Plus Insurance required 6 month Supervised Diet and Dr. Pamela Grover, my Primary Doctor just submitted all of my records and her Medical Nessecary letter. Now Kelly will be submitting everything to Care Plus for their Approval.
Have you've Registered on the Palms of Pasadena Hospital message board and asked for a WLS Buddy there as you'll be following their Post-Op suggestions and who better than to help you other than someone who has already been there where you soon will be?

I will be having my Realize band done by Dr. Tiffany Jessee at Palms in March. Were you aware that Palms of Pasadena is one of three hospitals in the Tampa Bay area that has been designated as a Center of Bariatric Excellence by the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons? This means the hospital and the surgeons associated with their program have had to meet very high standards in treating their patients.....all music to my ears!
I can only speak for my doctor but I am very happy that I have Dr Jessee and her staff as my surgical team. Everyone has been very helpful and they were on the ball when it came to making certain we had all the necessary paperwork before it was sent in for insurance approval.
They all provide support groups as well.

Palms was great!!! I was very happy with the staff and medical care. I had Dr. Jessee and did get the Realize band, everything went off without a hitch. Very happy with my decision.
Only complaint - the cafeteria isn't open beyond 7-2 and 5-8 or something similar.. they close down for a long time (we are used to hospitals that have one open) so my husband had to order out food while he was with me. It wasn't awful, just one thing I would have changed
I haven't found a weight loss buddy yet - where in the area are you? I'm in Palm Harbor..
