wow one year is a lot, but you can do it. There is a guy in the rny forum who had to do optifast for 6 months and he has lost 94#. he has 200 to lose total, but he is impressive. i guess what i am tryin to get at is everyones journey is different, but we all want good health. good luck

Thanks alot I will not give up and will become a loser one day if I keep the "FAITH". A year is a long time but my OH family support says it will soon fly by.I am thankful to even be on such a wonderful journey to becoming more healthy.

Good luck.  I  hope it goes well for you.  Just be sure to get the format the insurance wants your supervising doc to write up his/her notes in.  You do not want to get all of this time invested only to find the incorrect information was recorded.

I am currently going through a 6 month program myself!  Its frustrating but in the long run it will all be worth it!!  I hope the time flies for you!

Hi! Good luck with your program.  What kind of insurance do you have?  I've heard that CHP used to require a 1 year program but that they no longer cover Gastric Bypass at all.  I've also heard that Blue Cross of Fl doesn't cover it either.  I'm beginning to think the only option is self-pay.
