New to the Board..south florida anyone?

just got back over to the FL board-- sorry I never got your reply-- I have surgery in less than 3 weeks! 

Did you end up finding some good support in your area?

I wasn't able to attend my meeting this month but I will next month. And I've met some great people here that have been a tremendous help.

I love in Palm Beach Gardens and we go to the same bariatric office. My doctor is dr. larson I know JFK has a support meeting once a month. For others in the area i thought I was lucky and found one in Juoiter but the banned me on attending becasue I did not go through that hospital. Which was jupiter medical. Maybe when the next meeting happens at jfk we will let each other know and say hey! Welcome to the losing side!

Tha'st awesome.. we're not far from each other. I live in Royal Palm. I'm planning to attend the support group meeting this month (hopefully). My next appointment is the 22nd. How did you like the staff in the office?
I've been trying to get ahold of the nutritionist to see about my puree diet, which I'm supposed to start now. Did they have to tell you when to advance your diet?

Since I normally spend my time on the post-op pregnancy board, I didn't see your post here. I live in Wellington. I've never gone to a support group meeting here..or anywhere for that matter. Just wanted to say I do live near you. LOL

Thanks for the welcome. Miami is a nice place. I unfortunately don't get to go down there that often, but I have a couple friends that are taking me to South Beach next month because I've never been there. lol

I'm in Coconut Creek and having VSG on 10/28. My doctor has a monthly support group which I'm planning to attend next month.

I can't BELIEVE you've never been to south beach. I almost fainted when I read that! girl! have fun its a great place- beautiful beach, fun places to walk and eat and such.

bienvenido a Miami a little in advance. I absolutely ADORE this place, and crazily enough, the other place I'm thinking of living is austin. I'm in school and hoping by the grace of God to get into UT law. Anyway, if you'll be down here I'd be happy to give you the scoop on Miami, and hopefully get some Austin scoop for myself.
