Hey all,
I just had my surgery on Sept. 24th, and am new to this site and this forum.
I'm always up for meeting new people and making new friends.
I live in West Palm Beach.
Anyone around the area? Are there any support groups or meeting groups around the area?

Hey,
I live in Miramar. The MHS has a pretty good support group. I just basically find my support on the boards. They answer all my questions and I don't have to find a babysitter. There is an online support group through

Hey Jax, congratulations on your surgery. Hope all is going well for you. I live in Boynton Beach. I attend a support group meeting at the Renfrew Center in Deerfield Beach, they meet every other Tuesday at 6 PM. Let me know if you want more specific details. Good luck.

You're right Amanda, the boards are a lot more convenient. I've found a lot of help so far.
Hey John, I know there's a support group once a month at JFK, where I actually had my surgery, but I haven't attended yet. It's every 3rd Monday of the month. I plan to go this month. I was just checking out other stuff.

Theres also one at Bethesda hospital here in BB. I know the coordinator there pretty well, she's pretty good. Good luck to you.

yay for south florida! I'm a Miami girl, and I haven't had surgery yet but I'm scheduled for halloween. We basically have it amazing cause we can go to the beach with our new WLS bodies. I love it.

I'm not sure if I will be doing a support group, but I guess we'll see how I'm doing being banded. the info is useful of course, just incase, so thanks for letting me jump in on it.
