My question is this, I am almost positive I am going to be having the VSG done and would like to know if anyone knows if it is safe to have it and still be able to conceive? I have been married for five years now and we have been trying to conceive for the whole five years and no success and I want to lose the weight very badly and I think that could be part of why I haven't gotten pregnant, but I need to make sure I will still be able to carry to full term with a healthy baby nd healthy pregnancy. Please let me know asap, as I will be going to the DR office on May 20, 2008 and would like to know before hand. Thanks

I know there are women who post on the DS forum who have had healthy babies post op.  But your surgeon is your best source of information. Red

Head over to the post-op pregnancy board and ask all the mothers there... I bet you'll get dozens of answers.
