Is this Florida forum not too active?

I just came over from the national forum. But I noticed not too many post. I guess it is just a smaller group. Where is everybody???  Come on Florida gang.....Hope to see more action here... Beverely

hEY Beverly I'm in New Smyrna Beach FL and your right, pretty dull forum. What's up with that?  How do you lik e your lap band?  I had surgery for lap 5/07 and had it removed due to staph infection in October.  I was so bummed.  I am scheduled to get gastric sleeve 5/7.  Scared but ready.  Anyway add me to your friend list if youd like. Hi am new here from Miami...I have do the surgery yet but have my first visit with the Doctor on Friday.  My fried had the lapban an was very sick it comes out she was allergic to the band. I think am going straight to Gastric bypass.  Good Luck with your processure. Julie

I was once active on the Florida boards.  I come and check every couple months about what is going on though.  I personally have new life and busy busy with it.  I do miss the old people who like me have disappeared but do show up once in a great while to give updates. Hi I used to come here daily and maybe every couple hours..in the honeymoon stage..but yes..after losing weight life gets busier and you want to be out and about having fun and doing the things that you normall couldn't do...SOOO...you don't come here and the other thing I notice is that there aren't as many newbies posting or the questions about insurance and surgeries are about the same so you move on...If you would have come around 9/04 it was busy but now it's quieted down cause we've moved on..but i do come once in a while and check things out..

I'm a newbie. I live in Michigan but moving to Florida soon. I check the Lab band, Michigan Forum, and Florida forums. The Florida forums by far are the less active. I think the above poster who said life after surgery means being outside and getting around is right. Well no matter how skinny your are, in the winter and you will be stuck indoors alot in Michigan. Which is why I think they are more active.

I just forgot to stop by....been busy working on maintaining, and then I forgot to put this site on my dashboard on the computer. I will work on stopping by more often!
