vsg with Dr. M. Gargner

Hi: had any member gone thru vsg with Dr. Gargner in Florida or New York. or is planning to go in the near future?. Tell me, how was your experience.

Pedrof, You might try posting this on the DS board.  There are quite a few people I know that had the DS with Dr. Gagner.  He is very highly regarded in the DS community.  And since the VSG is the stomach portion of the DS I believe their comments are relevant. Red

I have gone back and forth and have decided on another surgeon since I am a self pay(my doctor is affordable & good).  I have had dealings with Dr. Gagner himself.  He has relocated from NY to FL and I e-mailed him and HE replied.  He called me personally and I got the complete fee schedule.  He followed up by email to ensure I got what I needed from the hospital.  He is VERY professional and has little sense of humor... But he was the one that other surgeon's have studied under for VSG & DS.  He has his own fees aside from the hospital so if you are a self pay he isn't cheap (not that I am going to the cheapest).  I would recommend him even if I haven't personally met him or had surgery by him.  Infact if I had insurance to cover my procedure I would go to him!!!
