OK so i just called the surgeon that MY surgeon reccommended i call for fills, and he DOESNT accept insurance for fills...and charges 500.00 for them!!! so that's wayyyy outta my price range, but i NEED a fill SO BAD....does anyone know of any surgeons in the SW florida area that do fills and accept insurance? or are at least not gonna charge me 500.00? i'd hate to have to fly home to see my surgeon, just to find out he's "OUT OF NETWORK" for my new insurance now...i'm feeling so helpless at the moment. i have no idea what's even near me as i'm so new to this area, and everything seems so far away...as in hours of traveling for a 10 minute fill. if ANYONE can help, i would reallllly appreciate it. i am living in Cape Coral FL, if you know of anyone nearby PLEASE let me know!!!!! jamie

My Surgeon is in St Pete.  It is still quite a distance but you could call his office to check it out.   He is with the BAriatric Care Center at the Palms of Pasadena Hospital.  The number is 1-866-931-8446. Here is their website as well.  http://www.obesitynomorefl.com/contact.php Let me know if that helps.   I have a friend from North Port to had the Gastric By pass but I think her doctor does bands as well.   I'm dropping her a note tonight to see if she knows for sure.

A hospital in Port Charlotte, Fl (45 min. away) has a doctor that does WLS. I don't know if he/she does the band. But you could go on the hospital website and I am sure the doctor would be listed. The hospital is Charlotte Regional Medical Center.

Jamie, there is a place you can go that is specifically for patients that have relocated or did their lapband outside the usa.  they provide aftercare as well as fills under flouro or without flouro.  Up in central FL they have a few clinics in the surrounding areas.  I always felt that had they had something down my way in Miami, I might have succeeded more.  After all, aftercare is very important to ensure success.  Anyway, here is the link, their rates are not that bad and who knows, they might accept insurance. http://www.fillcentersusa.com/aboutus.html Good luck and keep us posted.  -Maria
