Is it possible that you have a stricture and that is preventing all those dense proteins from going down and  you end up vomiting them back up?  Seems like all your proteins are "sliders."  Cheese, protein drinks etc.

The pain is just wrong.....call your doc.. ask for an EDG to see what the deal is and if your stoma is so small that food is not passing thru.  They can stretch it out a bit with a balloon during the EDG.

Good luck---this far out... you should be able to eat most meats.    Eggs shouldn't cause that big of a problem.

Yes I have the same problem.  I had my RNY Oct 1,2007 and Im still on the protien drinks.  I can only eat slider foods and very little.  I can't  eat meets, eggs, cheese.  The only thing I can tolrate is my protien drinks made with milk and Fat free yoplait yogart.   I have had 2 scopes and working on my 3rd scheduled for March 11.   Everytime I eat  I feel like Im  going to throw up.  Sometimes I do the foamies.  The other day I had the dry heavs.  Nothing came out but I had the heave ho's.  It's been like this since my surgery.   I do get hunger pains,  I wake up at night , my chest hurts so bad feels kinda like hormones, my breast hurt and also my upper back.    Im hopeing on my next scope it will fix my problems.  My Dr. said they can only dialate me 2cm at a time.   So Im almost there.  It has been rough.

Hi dj, I'm over 4 yrs post LAP RNY and at times I still have major issues with meat.  Last night I managed some chicken which is a real big effort because since my surgery I don't like chicken. ( or eggs)  If I eat beef, it's usually nibbling off of DH's plate.....I try to have fish once or twice a week. Otherwise, I still primarily get my protein from low fat dairy.  I may get the foamies if I overeat but it's usually NOT with pain.  Have you talked to your surgeon/NUT about the pain?

See God's track record in your journey,

decide that you will trust Him.

Sugeon and his office really no longer follow me.   Good to know someone else has same issues.  So it is just something to deal with.   Thabks for sharing. Still would do this surgery again, in a New York second. dianne
