New Surgeon in Ft Myers area

I just found out I will be moving to Ft Myers soon.  Does anyone know of a bariatric surgeon in that area?  I have not had my surgery yet but need a doctor to go to so I can get approval from my health insurance.  I am planning on having the lap band if my insurance covers it.

I am glad you came to the forums to hopefully find a surgeon down that way.  I also hope there are members that read this and can help you.  If at the very least look to the right side of the forum and you will see "Other Resources in Florida".  Click on "Find a Bariatric Surgeon" and hopefully that will help you as well. That was how I got started with Dr Gordon when I first found this web site.  If all else fails, you guys can make a "road trip" and go through another Dr out of the area.  See ya this weekend for dinner!!! Heather, thanks for the information.  I noticed you had a different doc listed under your name, did you have your surgery somewhere else? or is she part of this group?  Did you go to this group? I had a doc up here in the Tampa area but we are moving next month and will not be approved by then.   Thanks again, Wendy
