My surgery is tomorrow.  I think I am going to throw up..  Maybe I should take a Xanax to calm my nerves!

Eli, BEST of luck to you!  I've followed your posts since you joined and I'm so excited that your day is FINALLY here!!!!  WOO HOOO!!!   I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow!  You will do fine, I'm sure.  If you're concerned about taking the Xanax, call your doctor's answering service and have him call you.  If you do it before midnight, it will probably be fine, but best to check first.  I DO take Xanax for anxiety, and you better believe I took mine the night before surgery, but if you are in doubt, why not give the doc a call tonight?  Anyway, GOOD LUCK and see you on the LOSER'S side, girl!!   ~ Terri

Wow Eli can you believe it's here already!  The wait is over!  I also take Xanax and my doc said it was ok to take it the night before and the next morning too but with only a small sip of water.. and to make sure that I let them know that I did take it when I got to the hospital. HOWEVER.. that's MY cir****tances so I think it's best if you put a call into your doctor. I'm sure someone will call you back. And don't be nervous! You will be amazed at how easy this is! I was so nervous and boy was that a waste of nerves!  Before you know it you'll be home and we'll be talking about how you're doing with eating and your new little pouch!  I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and sending you lots of positive thoughts. You do the same! Positive thinking is HUGE!  See you on the LOSERS side Eli!

Hey Eli! This muscle relaxant and OxyContin is for you, sweetie!!

Seriously, you are in great hands. Trust me - I know. Are you going to come down to support group at 7:30?

PS - Thank you for the cute get well card! It really made my day today.

Yep. I started back yesterday, only 6 hours though. My DH brought me on to work and he'll bring me in this afternoon as well. Probably won't stay for the whole meeting, though. See you there!

Oh Eli, I can only imagine how you must be feeling.  I'm just a week behind you and i haven't slept a full night in weeks!  Although I felt much more at ease after my pre-op.  A Xanax would probably be helpful.  I should have asked for a script.  ;) Just wanted to wish you lots of luck tomorrow.  Not that you'll need it.  I'm sure you'll sail through surgery with ease.  Keep us posted! Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Jen

Girl save that throwin' up for after the surgery cause it's gonna happen from time to time..... get a good nights sleep and I pray to our lord and savior that you have an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.  Eli - you're journey is just beginning. Please journal, walk, and be good to yourself! God Bless you! Barbi
