Very Tired

Wed was two weeks out of surgery for me.  I had my staples removed on Tuesday but I don't feel well today.  I guess I'm still swollen since I feel like I have a knot inside at the end of  my insicission when I bend over and it hurts a bit.  The pouch is working since I can't eat much.  I was getting sick on protien shakes but I did try an Atkins today and my stomach did not go Haywire.  It just takes me a while to drink it.   Yes I can get in yogurt and keep down a little mash potatoes but I either don't want them or they fill me to fast. I want to sleep but can't to well.  A lot is going on like my kitchen is being tore out and my place is a mess since I don't have the energy to keep it clean and my hubby does not want to do it either.  He does three things and you would think he dug in a mine all day.  Maybe tomorrow will be better God Bless  Kathleen

Number 1. You do not want to do more than 2% sugar intake per meal. You will feel terrible. I am not familiar with where you had your WLS since I am in the process of moving to the FL. But I will tell you this...you need to be very diligent and careful as to what you ingest.

Kathleen- Trust me I know of what you speak.  But you know what -- soon you will have a good day and then you will have another good day; then pretty soon you will have a good week.  The trouble is you never know when that first good day is going to happen to start the cycle.  So you have to live every single day like it is the beginning of the cycle of all of the good things to come. You are still in the throes of the anesthesia and the trauma of surgery.  Those thing**** some of us a little harder than others.  But hang on sweetie. Red

Kathleen, It took me a few weeks to feel good and than some days in that week were not very good at all.  I was thinking that I was just lazy when all the other people that had surgery the same day or after were already at the gym and bousing around town.  Maybe it was my age but now I am beginning to think it was just the surgery kicked my butt.  I also discovered today that I have developed lactose intolerance and may have had to problem since a few weeks after surgery.  Today was a really bad day with spending my time in the bathroom.  I talked with my Dr and he said that is what it sounds like and it may have been going on for some time I just did not see it.  I am also dragging today because my fluid are going right out.  I am not taking the meds he told me to and hopefully tomorrow will be better.   But remember everyone is different and you will feel good again.   See you at the new group. Hi All, Today I'm a bit better and Sandy I am getting rid of milk.  I knew before the surgery that milk was problemactic for me.  I also think I have a problem with wheat problems.  Found what I can eat a bit of and that is an egg, some cut up small chicken, sugar free ice pops, and Atkins shakes that I drink slow.  I also can handle a little ice tea.  The mash potatoes,  and cottage cheese bother me a bit.  So far no  throwing up and bathroom problems.  If all is well I'm going to take my three wheeled easy racer for a little ride tomorrow. It is raining as I write this but I need to loosen up a bit.  I love you all God Bless Kathleen
