New to Boards

HI EVERYONE, NEW TO THESE BOARDS, I AM AN OLD TIMES, HAD RNY 10/15/01, LOST AND KEPT OFF almost 140pds, love to hear from any of you older ones that have been out a while, also if I can be of any encourgement I would love to hear from you too. I am a Grandmother of 16, 3 great, 2 sets of twins one grand, one great, and 4 grown children, recently moved fulltime to Fl, Suzie

Hey Suzie....welcome.  5 years here.  Live up in Daytona Beach.  Welcome.  I'm all about maintaining....or should I say the struggle to maintain.  Keep posting......its a great place to be.

Hi Marianne, so good to hear from you, where about is your surgery going to be, I am in the Clearwater/Largo area, not real familiar with Fl yet, we have always just left from Miami for cruises etc, and go to Tampa , Plant City and up 19 N, thats about how far we have ventured, and of course Ellington Mall. I will be praying for you, I remember the day I had mine, I wasn't nervous because I knew that this was what I had to do to feel better. God Bless you, keep us posted, Suzie

HI CHARLIE, IT IS A WALK ISN'T IT, WHEN FOLKS SAY YOU TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT THEY HAVE NO IDEA. I EAT LESS NOW, AND EXERCISE MORE, COULD BE OLD AGE CATCHING UP (HA), NO SERIOUSLY IT IS WORK. WE HAVE CHOICES, AND HAVE TO DETERMINE EVERYDAY TO EAT GOOD, AND EXERCISE. NO ONE CAN DO IT FOR US, THE SURGERY WAS SURE A BLESSING TO GET US STARTED, AND WE CAN'T EAT AS MUCH, BUT OH WE CAN SNACK IF WE CHOOSE. I HAVE HAD TIMES WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS IN ONE OF HIS MANY HOSPITAL STAYS WHERE I LET DOWN, GAINED A FEW POUNDS AND WAS MISERABLE, BUT GOT RIGHT ON IT. WE HAVE ALL COME TOO FAR TO GO BACK TO WHERE WE WERE. IT IS A WONDERFUL LIFE IF WE ARE BLESSED WITH HEALTH, AND STRENGTH ESPECIALLY AT MY AGE 66 THIS NOV, I AM SO THANKFUL EVERYDAY FOR THE SURGERY.
