Oh, you are so welcome.  You brightened my day with your messages and posts, they really meant alot.  As fr the lap blanket, it was just something from home, because nothing is YOURS when you are in the hospital.  Plus, my husband used it when he slept here and there.  I didnt spend any time in the chair, because of my reaction to the anesthesia.  I would get up and get pulled down the hallway by my husband or best friend and then was right back in bed sleeping.

Hi Marianne,

Bring a pillow from home, if for nothing else the ride home. It makes those bumps in the road a lot more tolerable if you can support your tummy with it.

Lip balm, toothbrush and paste.

Comfy, no waistband clothes to go home in. I wore a loose shirt and loose jeans, and even they were uncomfortable. If I were to do it again, I'd go home in my jammies and a robe.

HTH,

Kristen

Marianne, I've also noticed some people recommending ear plugs and an eye mask, due to the noisey and well lit hallways.  I guess it depends on where your room might be, but I've got them written on my list when the time comes. All the best on Tues. Hugs-
