In the information session, he goes over the different types of surgeries and the things you need to do before you go to see him.  Their office is really good at knowing what the insurance companies need to approve surgery.  I had Aetna and they told me I would need to get a letter from my primary doctor recommending it.  (They even give you a sample letter).  You need a psychiatric evaluation and nutritional evaluation.  It's interesting. He's a great doctor.  Hillary

I understand that Dr. Wizman uses BariatricEating quite a bit for some of his aftercare.  You might want to make a trip to the store and talk to Teresa over there.  Bet she could steer you right!!

I'm kinda confused, it says I need 6 months supervised diet with their nutrtionist, and 6 months with my pcp how does that work?

Different insurances have different protocols.  Some require you to see a nutritionist, primary care physician and psychologist once a month for six months.  Mine required these visits for four months before they would approve surgery.
