Hi.. New to Florida need helping finding a good doc

Hi All,      I recently moved to Pensacola, and I need to find a good PCP and a Bariatric surgeon who I can get with about after care.  Any one have any recommendations?    Thanks in advance!! Kim

I am in Panama City, about 90 miles east of you.  I have heard a lot about Dr. Jeffrey Lord over there in the Pensacola area.  There is another surgeon who I have heard of quite a bit over that way but his name escapes me at the moment.  Welcome to Florida, and I wish you all the best. Jerry

There are two bariatric Dr.s that I know of...Dr. Nye in Pensacola @ Baptist Hospital (He's also a trauma Dr...supposed to be very good)...and also Dr. Lord in Pensacola @ Sacred Heart Hospital...As far as PCP's, I myself have to find another one because he doesn't believe in WLS..I live right outside (about 16 miles) from Pensacola...There have been so many roadblocks for me...But I'm still hopeful.  Good Luck To You!

Thank you for the names!!  I will be checking into them both.  I think the worst part about moving is finding a new doc.   Sorry to hear that your PCP doesn't believe in WLS... a lot of people will be held back because of that belief.   I hope those roadblocks start moving for you soon! Kim
