Pre/post op pictures
Hello everyone!
I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy 7/10/07. Usually just post on the VSG forum, but I thought some people might want to see these pix. I also just realized there's a FL forum. Cool! Anyway, my brother was kind to document my journey and the room I stayed in. Had it done at Celebration Health Hospital in Celebration, FL (Orlando area). Highly recommend it. Dr Keith Kim performed my surgery. High praise for him too! Feel free to ask any questions.
Take care,
Laura

I visited you in recovery, but you were out like a light (good thing - you needed your rest. How are you feeling now? Any trouble with nausea?
Are you going to support group tomorrow night? I'll be talking a bit about sexuality after wls.
Hugs,
Kristen

Hi Kristen!
You were there? I remember nothing.
Thanks for stopping by. Very nice. I will see how I feel tomorrow. It's an hour drive and I'm having my post op appt Thurs afternoon. I would like to. I'll see how it goes. I'm getting better all the time. Did have nausea, but it's pretty much gone. First two to three days were a *****allenging. I've already lost 7.2 lbs since surgery.
I'm a bashful christian girl. Will I be embarassed at your talk?
Take care and God bless,
Laura

Yep. Well, almost everyone in recovery is still asleep to some degree. It's before even your family see you. I also have the advantage of having my office a few doors away from Dr. Kim, so he stops by to let me know how each case went.
Support group went well. I was quite tame (compared to my former life as an HIV/AIDS educator!)
See you tomorrow, Bella!

Hi Laura!
Welcome to the Florida forum! Thanks for posting your pictures. They really gave me an idea of what to exect at Celebration Health. I'm aiming to be a patient of Dr. Kim's as well. I had my psych eval. last week, and my nursing assessment today. I'm going with the lapband, I think. I'd be interested to know what made you choose the sleeve over the other types of surgeries, since VSG has been mentioned to me by several people on Dr. Kim's staff.
Congrats on your success to date! You're doing great!
Jen
