I got approved today. UHC sent me a letter in the mail. I am still alittle shocked, like I do not believe this is finally happening.

I remember the day my letter came....I saw the envelope and I sat down immediately and stared at it for a few minutes afraid to open it. When I read I was approved I could not believe it. After about ten minutes I called my b/f who was in the hospital at the time due to a back surgery and told him. I kept saying "i can't believe it's really going to happen"....and it did and I am so happy! Congratulations to you and I know you will be happier as your life just gets better!! Anne

Thanks everyone. My next step is to do the 20 minutes phone consult thing, get my clearances, do preop testing and diet, the see doctor?? I think that is the correct order.

Yes - next is your Nursing Assessment, which will dtermine your pre-op tests and clearances. When those are complete, you'll let us know when you would like surgery! Then you'll have your nutrition class, exercise physiology consult, metabolism test, and pre-op appointment with Dr. Kim.
