hello all New the the group

Hi there i am Kristy 26 from Ft walton beach FL i went today to get my referrall to general surgry so hopefully tomorrow i will know when my app is with Dr Jenkins on base here Eglin afb that is. my BMI is 40 and i can't wait to be on the loseing side of all this i just want this to be over with so i can do all the things i want to do with my husband and daughter and not get tired doing them. Thanks so much i can't wait to be on the loseing end my app was yesterday for my referall and i called today and they said that the dr would be calling me withtin like 30 days so hopefully sooner than later. I am so excited my ssiter had GB done 2 years ago and she is doing great so i hope things with go as good for me well i hope to hear from you soon take care and god bless Kristy

Oh that is cool not to far away at all yeah my app was yesterday for my regerrall and i called today and they said they would call me within 30 days so hopefully sooner than later. My BMI is 40 im 5" and 202 lbs but i also have PCOS and high chol. borderline diabetic so basically i am a heart attack waiting to happen...lol...well not really funny but i just pray they call me soon i can't wait to be on the loseing side of all this. So have u been approved yet or are u going out on ur own to get it done i am through the military the airforce so i will be haveing mine done here on base at Eglin so hopefully i hear something soon i can't wait i am so excited well and scared at the same time . sure u know how i feel or do u have a date yet for ur GB. I am going to my first seminar July 19...Next Thurs...So, this is a start!  I THINK I will have it at Sacred Heart Hospital, as they are a "Circle of Excellence", which my insurance requires.  If not, I will have it a Baptist (Both hospitals in Pensacola)...Baptist will be a COE in Sept.  Anyway, I'll attend the seminar and just take it from there...I don't have a real big BMI... 36 I'm 5 6 and weigh 223....but I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, fatty liver, heart arrythemia, bad back, and the list goes on...so I have spoken with Baptist, and they say I am a good candidate for WLS.  I have had a weight problem for 14 yrs...Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner.  I'm usually on the main board...Maybe I should come here more often!   God Bless, Donna
