GREAT BIG CRUISE TO LOSE THANKS!!
You all are the BEST! Yesterday, I posted about a woman who booked into our Cruise to Lose group whose cabin mate ended up unable to go, and she was left with the choice of not going or looking for another person to share her cabin. Well, I posted here, and received such a wonderful, warm and caring bunch of responses! To make a long story short, a fellow OH'er stepped up and took the empty spot, and as a result, we have not just ONE but TWO more very happy Cruise to Lose OH'ers!!

We are currently coordinating our panel of professionals, guest speakers and sponsors, and within the next week or so, we will have a pre-registration available for early birds!! It details this year's Cruise to Lose, and for our 2008 event, we are including even more WLS specialists - perhaps a fitness specialist and plastic surgeon!!

Will your future "Cruise to Lose" events include several different Physicians from different Bariatric Programs and Plastic Surgery practices.? Or will it be just a Morton Plant Bariatric yearly reunion? And have you've contacted OH about their Endorsements for your Cruises?

Hi Mike ~
These are things we are working on. We're still in the process of working through THIS year's event, but I'm pretty sure that Morton Plant will participate. I would certainly not close the door to other professionals and medical staff wishing to participate along with Morton Plant's Team. I am currently communicating with two plastic surgeons and a personal trainer. Also, OH has been very supportive of our efforts, and have offerred us lots of enthusiastic encouragement.
Also, this isn't a Morton Plant Bariatric "reunion". Not at all!! In fact most of the participants in this year's Cruise to Lose are OH members! While there are some Morton Plant support group "regulars" attending, a large percentage of our group is from out of state (IL, CT, PA, NY, TX, AL GA just to name a few!), from the OH boards.
So mark your calendar for Sept. '08! Specific dates, ship, pricing and presentation teams will be forthcoming, and we are even going to do a PRE-REGISTRATION FORM which will be available within the next week or so. I will definitely keep you posted! I hope you and Fatima can join us!!
