coming down and need help

good morning ! i'm moving to Sarasota in the fall. i had lapband surgery and need help finding a Dr. to do my fills. i'm finding most won't take a new patients . i getting a bit worried. can anyone help me , or point me in the right direction.

I'd ask my surgeon to recommend someone in FLA. He might have someone he actually knows that would be willing to take you on as a patient. There seems to be a mind-set among surgeons. "You cut it, you own it." None of them like to come behind another and figure out what the other guy was doing. Good luck.

Robin, I just moved to Bradenton from Centennial Colorado, I am a Gastric Bypass pt and I am going to have the same problem. I think I will try to find a wls friendly PCP first then get a referral.  What my plan of action is going to be is go back to Denver every 6 or 8 months and see my surgeon to ward off any problems. I dont have the lapband so I dont see a problem with it. If you g o to the side bar where it says Find a Bariatric Surgeon Just call around and aks, you should find one that will do your fills. Robin,    Our surgeons would probably be glad to take you on as their patient, however, they are located in Largo Fl (Pinellas County) Over the the Skyway bridge.  If you don't mind traveling about and hour and a half to an appointment.  Let me know I can send you their contact information. Julie
