Lurker...coming out of closet

Hi,  Tina here.  I've been lurking for several weeks now since I made the decision to have WLS and trying to get as much info as I can.  You guys are so great and supportive and such a great resource.  I am so happy to have found this site. I live in Ocala and hope to have my surgery in Mar-Apr of next year, hopefully with Dr. Jawad.  I am going to have to be self pay, so I'm also getting my finances in order for such a commitment, but I think it's so worth it. I look forward to getting to know all of you over the following months. Thanks for the generosity! -Tina

Welcome. I had RNY surgery with Dr. Overcash - there in Ocala. 9/29/04. Have lost 120 lbs so far and dong pretty good.  Dr. OC is tough but he is good at what he does. Good luck in the beginning of your process.  Feel free to post any questions.

Hi Tina and welcome to the boards!! You have chosen a GREAT surgeon if I do say so myself!! Dr. J is one of the best!! I've been a patient of his for 2 years now and so is my hubby. Hi Tina, DR Jawad is great, I didn't have my surgery thru him, but know several who have. These boards are great & have been very helpful to me before & after surgery. Good Luck to you & stay out of the closet & post away.

Tina, have we met???  In other words, have you attended one of Dr. Jawad's informational seminars at West Marion?  I speak at them (except the one last month) and the next one is scheduled for July 21, at 1:00 p.m. You may be self-pay, but you will find it's the best money you've ever spent in your life.
