Lab Work Question : )
Well I finally have an appointment with my PCP.
I am wondering if I should request he order any specific lab work/blood work.
It has been 8 months since I had my surgery. I am the first patient of his that has had the bypass and he was a sweetheart at helping me with great documentation required by my insurance. I just wanted to know if anyone has any input or info that I should maybe be bringing up with him at my appointment next week. Hope everyone is having a great day! Margo Marie

Very rarely will your Surgeon be the Doctor to order up the Follow-Up Blood Labs. Your Primary Doctor will do these and as we know most Doctors have no idea what Labs are Post-Op Required for a Bariatric Patient.
So you need to INSIST what LABs you want checked. But Always get a Copy of the Results for yourself that you can also share with your Surgeon for his records on yourself.
