What does a hernia feel like?

I'm meeting with my dr tomorrow because of an ongoing "discomfort/pain" around my bellybutton.  It can be as simple as a weird feeling all the way up to a "spasm". So I'm wondering - could it be a hernia? More adhesions? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

A hernia is a protrusion of an orgain spilling into another organ.  Actually it's not painful at all..but you can feel it. I don't have but my friend Sharon had and has another inguinal hernia..which is the protrusion of the intestines through the stomach wall. I can see and feel but she has said she has no discomfort.  Let us know what happens in your case.

I have a hernia at my bellybutton and my lower tummy below the bellybutton. The one at the bellybutton doesn't hurt, but you can feel it if you touch it. The one in my lower belly does hurt a little when you push on it. Dr. Kim said I will need to get them repaired in a year and a half.

I just looked at the date of the post - did you go to the Dr? What was it?

jon always by you.
