Tricare and Plastics
Has anyone had plastics in the Central Florida area that were covered by Tricare? If so which surgeon did you use? I know the tricare policy on plastics -- it is just finding a plastic surgeon that will accept it, that is the problem. I got the list of network providers off the mytricare.com site -- but when I called the surgeon's office said they did not accept any insurance for TT. Red
I have been having the same problem. They all want you to pay and then file yourself to Tricare. The problem is if they accept Tricare they do not get the full amount. Tricare only covers a portion and you msut pay the rest that is if they pay at all. I would hate to get stuck with a 20,000. bill and then they decide they will not cover.
Good luck. If you find someone let me know. I am willing to travel.

Tricare pays what it has determined to be the usual and customary fee. Which sadly is less than what some surgeons want to be paid. What steamed me about the surgeon's office I spoke with yesterday is that he is a network provider. I did not know network providers could pick and choose what they would accept like that. I have Tricare standard so I do not have to use a network provider. I guess I will call Tricare and speak with them about it. I will let you know if I find someone.

I have Tricare standard also. Called one doctor the other day and when they asked what insurance I was using and I told them they told me they were not accepting insurance patients at this time!! What a load of crap. Made me so mad. I told my husband this morning that this could become a full time job, finding some one to help me get the surgery that need at this time. I am not looking for a big chest I jsut want mine put back in the proper place!! Who cares if they are smaller??
If I find anything out I will let you know.
