Goodevening. Was wondering how long you had to stay in hospital post op?  And also how long it took you to get back to work.  Thanks.

Hello, I only stayed a matter of hours in Dr. Jawads surgery center.  Actually, I could have have stayed a bit more,,,,a little hard to move,,,,but, it was all good in the end.  Anyway, physically, I was almost back to normal after 3 or 4 days, but my job doesn't allow return until 3 weeks (we need to be able to lift 50 pounds).   Good Luck on your exciting new adventure!!!!  Are you planning to have the band placed soon???

Hello, Like Chantrel I when I had my band put in I was only in the hospital for a few hours. They operated on me at like 5:00pm and I was on my way home (about a 2 hour drive) by 8:00 pm. I don't work  but I'd say I could of been back to work in a few days. When my hubby had his done he was back to work in 2 weeks. He wanted to go back a lot sooner, but with the work he does both his job and the doctors wanted him to stay out a little bit longer so he took 2 weeks.  But for the most part he was ready to get back to work by day 4. Normally my doc keeps his patients in for a day after surgery but since I never had surgery before and just wanted to make sure everything was okay before I left,I requested to stay for 2 days

Dr. Kim's office told me that normally they don't keep you overnight; unless you have sleep apnea, then they want you to stay overnight.  Luckily, I don't, especially since I'm self-paying.
