Hello Florida Peeps!

I am a southern california girl...and I am leaving for your fine state tomorrow for a family vacation to Orlando. Just wondering what I am getting myself into as far as weather goes...is it miserable there? I know the humidity is bad...but how bad is it this early in summer? Thanks!!!

Hello. Hope you have a safe trip getting here.  About the weather, what can I say. It's summertime and rains everyday at 3pm.  I would try to plan all my outings before the afternoon if you can. Good luck!!

Hi Lisa, Weather wise it's about in the 70's already at 5:00 am and it climbs pretty quickly. It's been in the 90's and usually peak heat of the day is between 3:00 -5:00pm. And it does rain usually every day between those times also. Nothing drastic, usually just a quick storm and its hot, humid and sunny again. If you don't like to be in the heat I would definitley say plan outtings in the morning.  I hope you have a great time while your here!! Enjoy!! Jo Ann

That is true, but the thing about getting your stuff done earlier in the day is that it is alittle less humid and not as hot. Plus the earlier you go probably the less amount of people will be up.  Where are you going to be in Orlando area?

We are renting a house that is about 2 miles away from Disney World. I think we will try to get the parks in early and maybe in the evening. I am sure we will have fun. Alot more fun then if I would have went last year with 70 plus pounds on me...:)

I am a So CAL gal too!!  Grew up in Orange County CALIFORNIA - not Florida!!   Anyway, I moved here to FL 10 years ago and I will tell you the thing that blew me away was the humidity.  I have gotten used to it somewhat, but it's still miserable.  Humidity will be worse later in the summer so this is a good time to come here.  Hope you have a great time visiting here!!
