Dr. Jawad

I am going to his seminar today in Ocala. Wish me luck! Anyone else going?

Was it held today??  I was there a bit early, but no one was there and I could not see that his seminar was on the board in the lobby where all the community events are listed.  I wondered if he would be home from the San Diego ASBS convention in time to do the seminar today.  If it was held, this would be the first seminar I've missed in over a year!

 No, it was not held today. It was listed on two websites that it would be in Kissimmee and on one website that it would be held in Ocala. In the end it happened nowhere.  I am going next week I guess to the one in Kissimmee again. Hope to see you there.

It was held yesterday ( the 16th) I was there did you go to the right place ?? It was at the West Marion Community Hospital. 4600 SW 46th Ct. Ocala. We actually had to ask the man riding the golf cart that takes you from place to place around the hospital exactly where it was. He pointed us in the right direction & it just so happened that a lady named Nikki who works with Dr Jawad was on her way up too. Dr Jawad & alot of his staff were at the ASBS conference in San Diego  but Nikki (office Admin) & Kevin ( nurse pract.) were there and were VERY helpful. I left there feeling renewed. After all that Ive been learning on the web & thru my sister that had GB & this seminar , I feel I am well informed to make my decision to have GB and have made the desision to go ahead with it...Now comes the hard part...Insurance !!! I have medicare & Ive heard its an uphill battle ! But with the Lord on my side I KNOW that HE will prevail whatever happens. I hope the rest of Dr Jawads staff are as helpful as Nikki & Kevin. Thru them I have a "hope" for my future. I thank them :)

Well, phooey!!!  This was the first seminar I missed in about 1-1/2 years!!  It was supposed to be in Ocala, per Dr. Jawad's site, but it wasn't on the event board in the lobby of the West Marion Medical Building.  I guess I should have stuck around a bit longer, but I thought I'd be wasting my time because I knew Dr. Jawad had gone to San Diego for the ASBS Conference.

Well, that is weird then. I am not sure what happened then.  But I know when I looked at the Ocala Regional website, it said it was to be held in Kissimmee yesterday but that did not happen.  I will tell you that with medicare you should go to the CMS website and they show you where the appoved centers are  that you can have your surgery at.  Good luck!

Thanks so much for the info & well wishes...Pardon the pun but I want this so bad I can taste it & Im not giving up !! I know Im qualified its just jumping thru their hoops to get it done I suppose..
