Had an embarrassing public meltdown today

Hi , Im from Alachua/High Springs, a little town just north of Gainesville, and I know what ya mean...I just have to say.."I bet it was a college student" !! Students around here think they own the roads !! And girl just because we're christians dont mean we dont get angry sometimes too !! HE's  been working on my temper for years !!  Getting better but still have it sometimes :) Arent ya glad that days over & we can start new with HIS grace ?!! Yes, I know...thank God for His grace! I was just so shocked at myself as that is THE most out of control I think I've felt since being a Christian six years ago.. It was horrible.  Lke I said...comical if it hadn't of been me. I know exactly where High Springs is at!  The lady who led me to the Lord lives in High Springs. You probably know her and her family, since it is such a small town. I still get my hair done in Alachua .  Nice to meet you too. I just had my surgery with Dr. Cendan in GVille.  Very pleased. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.   I will say though, that with one exception, the few people to question my surgery were church members. I love them and I understand where they are coming from...but to a few I think it seemed like I was giving up on the weight battle. GIving up on the Lord's strength and finding a solution on my own. I don't want to waste my whole life though struggling against obesity, all the while it is wreaking havoc on my body.  One of those things where if you were perfectly right in your walk with the Lord, addiction type things wouldn't be an issue.

Wow ! I hope I dont go thru that ! The few people from church (Fellowship Church, the one that does the live nativity at Christmas time every year) who know what Im planning are supportive but they also know where I came from & where my desicion is based,  They know Im at my wits end & its more than the addiction at this point. But I am still praying for His guidance thru this whole situation & know He will be right in the midst of it. If I were to give up I feel that He would too. The Lord helps those who help themselves. Thats what I am doing helping myself to live longer for his pourposes instead of helping myself to another plate of french fries! LOL !  Well thats awesome that you were led to the Lord in High Springs & your right I probably do know her. I worked at the Citgo station for 6 years in Alachua,right off 75, before my car accident 5 yrs ago. Neato ! Just neato !!  I am looking into WLS with Dr Shebani b/c Dr Jawad along with most of Florida doesnt take medicare for payment. I also have BC/BS Health Options but the woman at Dr Jawads office said there is no sense exploring that avenue b/c they absolutely will not cover it. So Im hoping to do it thru medicare but have to jump thru their hoops to get it covered. Lord willing it'll happen !

Most at my church were very supportive. Of those who were much more questioning, they were those I knew from church. The vast majority have been great though. I have BCBS and they do cover gastric bypass. They have this big statement on the front of the policy about how they don't, but if you dig really really deep they say in small print, hidden in another section "we cover when deemed medically necesarry as evidenced by certain criteria being met". The criteria they list are the ones ANY company would expect.  I suggest you call your insurance company yourself and see if they cover it.  The bariatric coordinator at Dr Cendan's office told me to do that. Just that, nothing else. See if they cover it. Five minutes later I had my answer. They do. Dr Cendan covers both private insurance and medicaid. Look into it. 352-265-0604.
