Anyone know anything about Gainesville?

I have just been referred to an oral/maxillofacial surgeon at the University of Florida and I need some information about getting around up there. Red

I work at Shands at the University of Florida. The OMFS clinic is in the hospital building. Ask the clinic to send you the hospital/shands information packet with maps.....there are brochures they keep in the lobby to help people get around the hospital, hotels, and the city. Get them mailed in advance. If you any specific questions, I'd be glad to help. These are my stomping grounds.  When is your appointment? Makes a big difference if the Fall semester has started on campus. If it has, makes an even bigger difference if it is a football gameday at home (no hotels to be found more 40plus miles). I'd be happy to help you out with information however I can. Who did you get referred to???

I have been referred to Dr. Dolwick for evaluation.  My local doc thinks I need a total TMJ replacement.  Can we spell ouchie? Red
