happy dance, dosey doe, skippity hop, whoo-hoo!  Now the journey begins, start preparing your diet plan now, get rid of stuff you don't need around the house, and I encourage you to not binge, but start eating like you will post op.  This is how you will eat the rest of your life! Congratulations! blessings, Tami

That's wonderful advice!  My hubby said the same thing last night.  Luckily, I'll still be seeing the surgeon every week up until surgery.  He wants more weightloss and is pretty strict.  If I gain during the next month he may cancel surgery.  It's soooo not worthy that.  Plus, I want to put my best foot forward.  I'd love to go into surgery already 20 pounds or so down.  I read your posts and you're such an inspiration.  Please keep in touch.

Thanks so much to everyone that replied.  The support I get on OH is wonderful.  I look forward to sharing my progress with everyone.

Congratulations! Hopefully it will go speedy fast for you. Who needs a "last binge"? I agree. One thing I wish I'd taken more seriously preoperatively was weaning the caffeine. Granted, I only had one week notice between surgery approval and sugery date...but I was used to drinking close to a two liter of diet coke a day. LOTS of caffeine.  Let me tell you that the caffeine headache was pretty intense and uneccesarily obtrusive when I was already hurting post op and experiencing nausea. Then when I did have dry heaves, every dry heave exacerbated my headache. I wish I had gotten off the caffeine before surgery. It just made me more miserable.

That is amazing, good luck.  I am so happy for you. I am in the process of sending all my paperwork in as well and praying for the best.
