Congrats!! I just found out the insurance at my job covers the surgery and I hope I get a speedy date like that too. Good luck with everything and my prayers are with you!

Misha, you'll have to let us know when you get a surgery date!  Marli, so glad all went well. I had my surgery on Tueday June 5th. Came home Friday evening June8th. Had to stay an extra day because of some protracted nausea/vomiting and dry heaving. Soooo not fun. Thank God for Zofran.  The nausea really didn't hit me until 36hours post op though. Was just funny because I'd already done just fine with clears for over twelve hours when the dry heaves started. No complications though. Made sure I was up within hours and ambulating within twelve hours. The nurses were very hesitant to get me up and even said they couldn't do it until Physical therapy saw me. Whatever. Perhaps if I'd had a pre-admission deficit but I didn't. I posted more details on my page. In essence though...I'm doing good. Wished someone would have warned me that I'd be passing black/coffee ground stuff (old blood from the initial surgery) for a few days. I saw that and was a bit scared. Just leftover stuff from the surgery that hadn't made it's way out yet.  I've taken quite well to unjury powder and got in almost 100GM of protein today. So, now I'm not so paranoid about meeting my nutrition requirements.  I appreciate all the support and prayers. No doubt in my mind that they helped. I was amazingly calm the morning of surgery, and for the most part very well taken care of.
