How long did you wait?

Yea I am feeling the same way ever since I called the insurance company to ask if my paperwork had been re-submitted and they said no, but Odalys told me it had. I don't know who to believe I just know that it's starting to get a little ridiculous. I came to Dr. Jawad's office because he has dealt with other family members and they recommended him to me. But I might be looking elsewhere soon.  How is the surgeon in Celebration? I am right next to celebration.....maybe i need to make a switch.  Did you have to do the whole thing over or did Dr. Jawad's office just fax your info to the new surgeon?

The attorney I retained to fight my appeal leaned on Dr. Jawad's office and they finally sent them the documents and they sent them to me so I could submit them to Dr. Kim's office.  Once they realized I was jumping ship, they were really uncooperative.  Now, everything is in order except my cardio clearance which should happen next week.  After that, I should get a preop appointment date and a surgery date.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing else goes wrong.

I have BCBS of North Carolina (You probably are of Michigan because that is where your corporate headquarters are - at least that is why I am Of North Carolina) and I was approved within 30 days. I think the biggest help with my quick approval was that I have been a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) for 3 years and they keep very good records - so I had 3 years of detailed records at failed attempts. Plus, my primary care physician wrote a great letter. Also, Dr. Kim's office told me exactly what BCBS wanted and they submitted everything for me. I didn't even have to call BCBS myself. I hope you get your answer very soon.

Hi missdei, I have BCBS Florida and Dr J.  I just got approval today after not even 1 1/2 week.  You may want to makes some calls to them.  I am now scheduled for July 2nd.   Sandy Wesley
